After releasing on November 2016 first  VR headset comes a long way. Google has pushed the standards of mobile VR on to a higher plane. Daydream is Virtual Reality Platform which comes built in on Android N 7.1 or later. But all devices run on Android N are not supportable with Google Daydream View – VR Headset only a few of them are supportable which I’m gone discuss below.
If you buy it from Amazon it will cost around $79 which is cheaper than Samsung Gear VR. If you order this, you will get a Headset and a Controller.
Google Daydram VR
Headset
The Headset is using a new tracking technology called WorldSence which allows the headset to track your head movements without external sensors lining your room. Another interesting thing is that there are no wires, no sensors you have to install or does not need to setup any external connections with a phone. The view headset is constructed from soft, breathable fabric which is very comfortable for long use. Due to a use of fabric view is lightweight and also comes with a hand-washable face pad. You can wash it to keep it clean and fresh. Daydream view comes with three colors slate, crimson, and snow.
But I don’t like that there are no buttons for easy access in this headset, you have to control every thing only using a controller. The headset has one adjustable band that goes around your head. Although there is some soft rubber on the inner portion of the strap to help the headset stay in place it feels uncomfortable if you did not adjust correctly.
Controller
The view comes with a controller which is a good deal under $79 because you don’t have to buy a third party controller. The view controller is wireless and very light weight. Controller built quality is also good, so you don’t have to worry about dropping it. This controller can be used to interact with the virtual world through waving or pressing buttons or using the track pad. The controller has a simple outlook and only has five buttons and a trackpad. Although it’s easy to use and user-friendly. buttons are easily accessible and holding the controller in your palm you can do anything from watching youtube videos to playing games.
Supported Phones
The major drawback of Google Daydream is that only a few phones support this feature. After August, announcement Google Daydream now supports Galaxy S8+ and S8, including them officially only 10 devices support Daydream. Those phones are,
  • Google Pixel
  • Google Pixel XL
  • Moto Z
  • Moto Z Force
  • Samsung Galaxy S8
  • Samsung Galaxy S8+
  • Huawei Mate 9 Pro
  • Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design Edition
  • Asus Zenfone AR
  • ZTE Axon 7
Available free Apps and games
There are lots of other games available on play store which are supported by Daydream View. vrheads.com made a very useful list of available free and paid games, you can check it here.
